Finally we can inhale and enjoy the aroma of Spring
It is time to breathe deeply and walk outside whether it is along the canal, in the parks or up the steep hills of Bath. I took a walk up to the butterfly reserve behind Sion Hill yesterday. The butterflies were out, the smell of hycainths in the air and even the sun was shining. I felt so relaxed.
I spend much of my time blending essential oils and I see the immediate effect plant essences have on clients’ emotionally and physically. This could be a great time of year to use cleansing and refreshing essential oils such as peppermint, lemon, juniperberry or grapefruit as they are cleansing for cluttered minds, digestion and skin. If you are busily studying basil and rosemary are strenghtening for your memory and could enhance your ability to concentrate. If you are feeling anxious the night before an exam, Neroli is helpful for dispelling anxiety and tension. When you are about to walk in to an interview and you would like to feel focused and be decisive, Cypress is strengthening and a blend such as Basil, Bergamot and Lavender can help you be your best. They have definitely worked for me at the start of races and very important interviews and presentations.
With this in mind, I will be giving all clients who have an aromatherapy massage this month of May, a 30ml oil blend to take home so you can enjoy the benefit of aromatherapy everyday. Contact me for more details.
May is also the month for you to find out more about Aromatherapy and massage at our ‘Step in to Spring with Well Being in Mind’ Retreat day in Central Bath. This will be a really fun day where you will learn more about meditation, Qi Gong, massage, aromatherapy & juicing in the beautiful central Bath Shiatsu Practice with Heidi and I.
I hope to see you soon and have a great month.
Don’t forget to leave me a message if you have any queries 🙂
